How Do I Sign Up?
Anyone interested in taking part in Talent Recap’s Channel Manager bootcamp can submit their name, city of residence, and BOTH test tasks to submissions@talentrecap.com. See test tasks below.
Task 1 – Storytelling
For 5-6 of the stories/topics described below, create a Title AND Subtitle for a book/news article with the goal of making someone want to click on and read it Hint: the title and subtitle should play off of each other, and should tell the reader enough to get them interested, but not spoil the story.
Requirements:
The title and subtitle should leave readers feeling like there is more to the story – that they have to read the whole thing or they’ll miss riveting details, drama, comedy, stories of glory, inspiration, etc.
These topics are entirely unrelated to talent shows, and your Titles/Subtitles do not need to be in the format/feel of titles on our YouTube channels – you will be judged solely based on how clickable your title/subtitle combinations are.
Final note: you can make up additional details/slightly twist these stories if it helps you create a more compelling title/subtitle – but keep it within reason.
Optional: include a brief description of a photo that you’d attach to the article/book cover (you don’t need to find an actual photo).
Stories/Topic Options:
Little Red Riding Hood.
A biography of Kim Kardashian.
A biography of Lance Armstrong.
A biography of Amanda Bynes.
Zohran Mamdani gets elected as NYC Mayor.
Sweden beats the US in Olympic curling.
Fan favorite Boston Rob gets voted off the island (the show Survivor).

Tesk 2 – Video Titles & Thumbnails
Between the ten videos, pick the three that you think performed the WORST based on their title & thumbnail, and:
Describe why you think it performed poorly.
Write a title you believe would be better and/or describe how you would change the thumbnail // what you would do differently.
Please Note: There are no wrong answers here. Go with your gut on which you believe performed the worst – what matters most is your reasoning as to why you think they performed poorly.

Include your name, city of residence and test task submission to submissions@talentrecap.com. We hope to hear from you soon!
