Dallas police announced the arrest of a 21-year-old suspect in connection with multiple drive-by shootings and an armed carjacking incident in 2024, according to a statement.

Nehemiah Drake was arrested and booked around 7:05 p.m. Wednesday on deadly misconduct with a firearm, possession of marijuana, and prohibited weapon charges.

As of Thursday morning, Drake remained in the Dallas County jail with a bail amount set at $220,000, according to jail records.

Gang Unit officers responded to three separate shooting incidents within one hour on June 11, 2024, in the 6800 block of Nandina Drive, the 1400 block of McKenzie Street, and the 4200 block of Willow Springs Lane.

Police received reports that unknown suspects had shot out of a car while driving past the locations. Investigators determined nearly 300 rounds had been fired during the incidents, the statement said.

Later the same month, police responded to a robbery in progress in the 3300 block of Junction Street, according to the statement. It was reported that multiple suspects had stolen a car at gunpoint and later crashed.

The car was recovered, and officers located a pistol with a machine gun conversion device attached inside. Detectives linked Drake to the gun used in the three shooting incidents on June 11.
