The Keller Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval for the relocation of Baylor Scott & White Outpatient Therapy services center within the city.

The recommendation passed at a commission meeting March 10.

The details

The services center is currently located at 460 Keller Parkway, according to a city presentation. Baylor Scott & White officials are interested in relocating to a larger space at 1006 Keller Parkway to expand services and patient capacity.

Brandie Owen, the regional director for Baylor Scott & White’s Institute for Rehabilitation, said current clients at the Keller location have had to go to other cities for treatment.

Services at the new location will include physical therapy examinations, therapeutic exercise and functional training, return-to-sport programs, injury prevention education and patient consultations with follow-up visits, according to city documents.

The relocation may also mean the business will extend its hours of operation on Friday or add Saturday hours, depending on patient demand and community needs, per city documents.

The new location would be at the same spot as a former Petco in Keller Town Center, which closed January 2025.

Looking ahead

Keller City Council is required to approve a Specific Use Permit, or SUP, for Baylor Scott & White to operate a medical office at the proposed new location. Council is expected to consider the relocation at a regular meeting April 7.
