All northbound Dallas Parkway traffic is shut down at the 121 intersection, Frisco police say.

FRISCO, Texas — Drivers in Frisco may have some trouble with their commute on Tuesday morning. 

All northbound lanes of Dallas Parkway are shut down at the 121 intersection due to a large water main break, according to Frisco police. 

The closure remained in place overnight on Tuesday, and repairs are expected to continue in the morning, police said. 

Scenes from WFAA Chopper 8 show crews cleaning up and trying to contain the break. Chopper video shows a stream of water going down Dallas Parkway. 

While it’s unclear what caused the water main break, the chopper video does show the break was close to a construction area. Police said they will provide more information on the cause of the break when repairs resume.
