Living in Lubbock builds character. It also builds that ability to have a total meltdown over the tiniest of inconveniences imaginable. Things people in other cities would barely even notice can send us into a full emotional spiral before 9 am.

The Wind Attacks Your Car Door
You open your door, like a civilized human being, and then suddenly, a 45 mph gust grabs it and tries to yank it clear off the hinges. Now, you’re wrestling your car like you’re in a damn rodeo and you haven’t even had your coffee yet. Oh, oops. You did have your coffee. It’s on your pants now.
Your Trash Can Ran Away
Trash day seemed normal. Everything was fine. You stepped outside and realized your trash can decided it would rather live three houses down the way. It either made its way there by wind, or it heard the rich neighbors buy the name-brand soda.
