The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to locate Lisa Mitchell, wanted for murder linked to fentanyl.

TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office IS asking for the public’s help in locating a woman wanted in connection with a murder case.

The department says 35-year-old Lisa Monique Mitchell is currently evading law enforcement after recently removing her court-ordered ankle monitor.

Deputies say Mitchell is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs about 230 pounds, and has brown hair. Her last known area was Fort Worth, but investigators warn she has the means and connections to leave the area.

Deputies warn the public not to approach her.

Mitchell is wanted on a murder charge tied to the death of 45-year-old Dustin Mowdy. According to court documents, authorities say back in March 2025, in Tarrant County, Mitchell knowingly delivered the controlled substance fentanyl to Mowdy, which resulted in his death.

Court records show Mitchell has a criminal history for possession of a controlled substance.

Anyone who sees Mitchell or knows where she may be is urged to call 911 immediately or contact Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County.
