LUBBOCK, Texas (CITY OF LUBBOCK) – Due to recent high winds, portions of the boat dock at Lake Alan Henry have become dislodged, resulting in significant damage and closure of part of the dock.
As another wind event is forecasted for Sunday, the Sam Wahl Recreational Area team is removing the boat slips to prevent further damage. They are also evaluating options for anchoring the boat slips and repositioning the dock.
At this time, lake-goers can still launch their watercraft and temporarily tie up near the ramp. However, the remainder of the dock, including the crappie house, is blocked off.
The Sam Wahl Recreational Area team is continually working to ensure the efficient use of the boat ramp and safety of all patrons.
