LAKEWAY, Texas — An Austin man was arrested Monday after fleeing from Lakeway police officers on a motorcycle and hiding in a wooded ravine, authorities said.
John Gray, 37, was located and taken into custody in the 5300 block of Lipan Apache Bend following an extensive search, according to the Lakeway Police Department.

Officers tried to conduct a traffic stop on Gray’s motorcycle near Bee Creek Road and State Highway 71 when he fled on foot into a heavily wooded, steep ravine.
During the search, officers received information suggesting Gray had been injured while attempting to escape. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment following his arrest.
Gray was already wanted on two outstanding warrants. One warrant was for evading arrest and detention as a probation violation out of Travis County, and a second was for evading arrest with previous convictions out of Hays County.
