CRAFT’s entryway is near completion, facing Kate Street at Northwest Highway.

CRAFT Restaurant & Beer Market is set to open Wednesday, April 1, at 5974 W. Northwest Highway (at Kate St. across from Village Baking Co.) The 25-year-old brewpub concept launched in Calgary, and currently operates a total of nine locations throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. Dallas represents CRAFT’s first U.S. location, a partnership between founder, P.J. L’Heureux; President and COO, Scott Frank; and Dallas Stars owner, Tom Gaglardi.

Occupying a former office suite on the western edge of Preston Center, CRAFT will cover over 10,000 square feet indoors, with an additional 5,000 square feet of rooftop patio space. The restaurant will be open every day for lunch and dinner, with “late night” service until midnight (1:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays). Multiple private event rooms will be available by reservation.

In keeping with CRAFT’s efforts to support local producers, Dallas-brewed beers from Peticolas Brewing Company and Celestial Beerworks will be offered alongside standard domestic and international brands. Wine and specialty cocktails will also be available, complementing a full menu of neighborhood grill standards (steaks, pastas, burgers) and Asian-inspired specialties (miso salmon, Korean ribs, Ahi tacos).

CRAFT is offering a $20 gift card to the first 300 guests who reserve a table for opening day on April 1 (reservations can be made in advance via OpenTable starting March 23). Opening festivities will also include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Looking ahead, the restaurant will launch a give-back program in support of the Heaven’s 27 Foundation, with $1 of every beer purchased benefiting scholarships and programs in memory of those lost in the Camp Mystic floods.
