WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta made a surprise appearance far from the wrestling ring — but the reaction from the crowd sounded like something straight out of a packed arena.
The high-energy moment took place during a San Antonio Spurs home game, where the masked superstar stepped into the spotlight as part of the team’s pregame festivities.
While the appearance wasn’t inside a squared circle, it still had the feel of a big-match entrance.
Penta Hypes Spurs Fans During Pregame Drum Tradition
Penta attended the game at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio and took part in one of the Spurs’ signature pregame traditions.
During the ceremony, Penta grabbed the drumsticks and helped fire up the crowd by beating the large drum used to energize fans before tipoff. The Spurs later shared a video of the moment on social media (X), posting a clip of the Intercontinental Champion leading the arena’s hype routine.
The team captioned the video simply: “@PENTAELZEROM on the pregame drum.”
For Penta, the appearance served more than one purpose. The visit also helped promote the upcoming episode of WWE RAW, scheduled for the following week.
The timing of the appearance also comes during a strong moment in Penta’s WWE run. The masked star recently captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the March 2, 2026, episode of RAW by defeating Dominik Mysterio.
Since arriving in WWE in 2025, Penta has quickly built momentum with his “Cero Miedo” philosophy — a mindset that translates to “zero fear.” Judging by the way he handled the drum in front of a loud NBA crowd, that confidence travels just as well outside the ring.
Penta is currently in the midst of his first singles championship reign in WWE and has continued positioning himself as a fighting champion.
Whether he’s delivering a Penta Driver in the ring or pounding a drum in front of thousands of basketball fans, one thing seems clear — when Penta shows up, the noise usually follows.
