On March 13, Little Bit Bakery’s Angela Henson steps off the front lawn and onto TV

Frisco’s own Angela Henson is taking her “porch-to-table” business to the big screen. The 20-year-old baker behind Little Bit Bakery appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show this week to discuss her viral success and the community-driven model that has neighbors lining up on her sidewalk every Saturday.

A Surreal Zoom With Kelly Clarkson

The road to national television was as fast-paced as a Saturday morning rush. After a viral TikTok drew hundreds of new customers to her porch, the show’s producers reached out when a slot opened up at the last minute.

“The experience was a little nerve-racking but so fun,” Angela told Local Profile. “I remember when I first got the email asking about the possibility of having me join on the show, I screamed, haha!”

Despite the high-profile interview, the reality of running a small-batch bakery meant there was no time for a victory lap. “As soon as it was over, I had to go back into the kitchen since it was my dough day,” Angela said.

A Life-Changing Surprise

During the segment, which will air on March 13 at 3 p.m., Clarkson interviewed Angela about her porch business model. While Angela expected a simple interview, the show had a little bit more in store. During the call, Clarkson announced a generous donation to help fund a brand-new professional bread oven for the home bakery.

“Finding that out live left me shocked and definitely teary-eyed,” Angela said. “If I were to tell myself a year ago I was doing this, I don’t know if I would believe myself.”

While the national attention is new, the hard work is not. Little Bit Bakery’s setup requires a grueling weekly cycle to keep up with the demand of 75 pre-orders and a growing sidewalk line.

The Power Of A Viral Moment

Little Bit Bakery wasn’t an overnight success. In the beginning, the second weekend was so slow it left Angela with a kitchen full of unsold bread. A frustrated, last-minute TikTok post changed everything. By the next morning, thousands of views translated into a line of strangers standing on her sidewalk.

“It really leaves me speechless how helpful it can be for small businesses,” Angela previously told Local Profile.

With some funding for a new professional oven and a national fan base watching, Frisco’s favorite porch bakery is proving that sometimes, a “little bit” of passion is all you need to reach the big leagues.
