LAKE WORTH – Debbie Lea (Hensley) Perkins, 72, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones at home. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2026, in Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107, in the Garden of Love. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2026, in Memorial Suite B of Greenwood Funeral Home, 3344 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth. Memorials: The Perkins family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity. Debbie, a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1971 and attended Tarrant County College for several years. She grew up with strong family values, a deep sense of responsibility, and an enduring work ethic that would shape the rest of her life. She loved being around her family and grandchildren and loved her dachshunds she affectionately called her weenie dogs. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert M. (Bob) and Betty Jean Hensley. Debbie is survived by her husband, James S. Perkins; son, Scott Perkins; grandchildren, Fallyn and Gabrielle Perkins and their mother, former daughter-in-law Cheree Fox, Serenity and Inara Bowers and James Robert Perkins and their mother, former daughter-in-law Amanda Nymoen, Emily Albright and Beaux Grusendorf and their mother, future daughter-in-law Marilyn Williams; and James Perkins; future daughter-in-law, Marilyn Williams; all of Fort Worth.
