A cold front will bring near freezing temperatures to North Texas this weekend.
Ahead of the chilly weather, conditions will be warm and sunny on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Daily highs will range from the upper 70s to low 80s over the two days.
The cold front will arrive on Sunday, March 15, bringing winds between 25-35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph over the afternoon and evening hours.
Much colder air will follow on Sunday night, as temperatures dive into the mid-30s, according to the NWS. Wind chills will be in the 20s.

Chilly weather in the low 50s will continue on Monday, March 16, but a warm-up is coming.
Heading into Tuesday, March 17, daily highs will kick around the upper 60s. The warming trend will continue on Wednesday, March 18, as temperatures reach the upper 70s.
By Thursday, March 19, daily highs will be in the mid-80s. As of now, no rain is in next week’s forecast.
