HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Police Department said that they are still looking for a suspect who was charged with armed robbery after robbing a man at gunpoint during a Facebook Marketplace exchange back in January.

According to HPD, the victim met the suspect at an apartment complex in the 7500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard to sell him a PlayStation 5 on Jan. 30 around 1:45 p.m. Court documents state that the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Treveyon Wyche, used the fake alias “Derrick William” to contact the victim about purchasing the console.

Records show that, when the victim arrived, Wyche approached the vehicle, pulled a gun from his jacket, pointed it at the victim, and said, “Give me everything.” The victim then handed Wyche the PlayStation, along with two controllers, the records add. Authorities said that the victim was able to leave the scene after the incident.

Officials said that a Houston Police Robbery Detective conducted an investigation that revealed Wyche as the suspect, prompting the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to file a warrant for his arrest on Feb. 20.

Police are offering up to $5,000 to anyone with information related to the case if they contact Crime Stoppers directly by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), submitting an online tip at www.crime-stoppers.org or through the Crime Stoppers mobile app.
