ARLINGTON – Clarence “Buddy” Rudy Wilborn Jr., 71, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. Buddy was born in Port Lavaca, Texas, and later made his home in Arlington. He spent most of his life in Amarillo. He was known to many as strong-willed and stubborn at times, but those who knew him best also knew he was always up for a good laugh and had a kind heart. He cared deeply for his family and the people he loved and showed it in his own quiet way. Those closest to him will always remember he gave the very best hugs. Buddy had a passion for woodworking and took great pride in working with his hands, creating pieces that reflected his patience and craftsmanship. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, riding his motorcycle, and cheering on or crying for the Dallas Cowboys. These simple pleasures were some of the things that brought him happiness throughout his life. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Wilborn Sr. and Alice Priolo; his beloved wife, Sheila; his grandson, Dustin Vance; his brothers, Gregory and Paul Wilborn; and his sisters, Cynthia Wilborn and Constance Siler. He is survived by his children, Christina Wilborn and spouse, Mirna, and Christopher Wilborn and spouse, Danna; his stepsons, Jeff Vance and spouse, Stacy, Matthew Vance and spouse, Heather, and Mark Vance and spouse, Brittni; his grandchildren, Brandon, Gunnar, Parker, Celese, Christopher Jr., Caleb, Orion, Colin, Jenae and Madison; and five great-grandchildren, Paisley, Aiden, Warren, Kaidyn and Harper. He is also survived by his half-brothers, Mark Wilborn, George Priolo, and Steve Priolo. Buddy will be remembered for his strong spirit, his hardworking hands, and the love he had for his family. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family. Per his wishes there will be no services. He will be laid to rest beside Sheila at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo.
