The NWS Fort Worth TX issued a fire weather watch at 12:33 a.m. on Saturday valid for Sunday between noon and 9 p.m. The watch is for Wise, Denton, Parker, Tarrant, Dallas, Hood, Johnson, Montague, Cooke, Young, Jack, Stephens, Palo Pinto, Eastland, Erath, Somervell, Ellis, Comanche, Mills, Hamilton, Bosque, Hill, Lampasas, Coryell, Bell, McLennan, Falls and Milam counties.
Expect winds to be northwest at 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph and humidity 15 to 25%.
“Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended,” adds the NWS.
This watch is in effect until Sunday at 9 p.m.
