EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Three people were taken to a hospital after a five-vehicle crash on I-10 in East-Central El Paso, according to El Paso police said.
The crash happened at about at 8:40 a.m. along Interstate 10 West near Airway. Police say five vehicles were involved, and three people were injured.
A spokesperson with the El Paso Fire Department confirmed that one person suffered serious injuries and two other people suffered minor injuries.

Through traffic is now exiting at Hawkins. The Texas Department of Transportation is reporting major backup. Clearing time is estimated to be until further notice.
Police also say their Special Traffic Investigations unit is responding to the crash.
