While Calallen put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can’t be said for King. The Wildcats blew past the Brahmas 16-0. Considering the Wildcats have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday’s blowout was nothing new.
Addison Juarez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Juarez was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Hannah Thibodeaux looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn’t given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Braelyn Bailey, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and one triple while going 3-for-3. That’s the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Cody Forbes, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Calallen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as King only posted an OBP of .250.
Calallen pushed their record up to 16-8-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for King, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-12.
