The Spurs are going to roll out a familiar five. They will start DeAaron Fox, Stephon Castle, Devin Vassell, Julian Champagnie, and Victor Wembanyama.

Lineup alert: Spurs will start Fox, Castle, Vassell, Champagnie, Wembanyama on Saturday.

On the other side, the Hornets are going to utilize a lineup with LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges, and Moussa Diabate.

In the Spurs’ most recent matchup against the Denver Nuggets, they rolled without Wembanyama for the first time since January 3. In his absence, the Spurs came up short with a 136-131 loss. It was their first defeat in five games.

This season, Wembanyama has put together a strong campaign. He started in 42 of the 51 games he played, averaging a career-low 29.3 minutes per game.

Despite the slight limitations he’s had throughout the year due to restrictions from injuries, Wembanyama is still posting impressive averages of 24.2 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 3.0 blocks per game. Wembanyama is the NBA’s block leader for the third year in a row.

The Spurs are fortunate to have Wembanyama back in the mix, but they aren’t fully healthy on Saturday. The team ruled out its rookie, Dylan Harper, as he deals with a calf contusion.

Harper wouldn’t have gotten the nod to start, as he has come off the bench for all 55 of his appearances this year, but the Spurs will surely miss him as he’s one of their top scorers in the second unit. Seeing the court for 22.2 minutes per game, Harper is posting averages of 11.2 points and 3.8 assists per game this year.

The Hornets and the Spurs are slated for a 3:30 pm ET tip on Saturday.
