Alexa Godines was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Flores, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

They weren’t the only ones making solid contact: Alice kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That’s a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.3 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they’ve averaged 10.8.

Meanwhile, Corpus Christi Moody scored the most runs they’ve had this season on Monday, but it wasn’t enough. They came up short against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, falling 17-7. That’s two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Anabelle Flores made the most of her time in the batter’s box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Lovieann Vasquez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Alice’s victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Corpus Christi Moody, they dropped their record down to 4-5-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Corpus Christi Moody’s pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Alice hasn’t had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. It’s a different story for Corpus Christi Moody, though, as they’ve only averaged .210. Will they be able to contain Alice’s hitters?

Everything went Alice’s way against Corpus Christi Moody when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as Alice made off with a 16-0 win. Do the Coyotes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We’ll have the answer soon enough.
