HOUSTON – Houston Baseball fell in the second game of the weekend to Kansas State, 16-1, in seven innings at Don Sanders Field at Darryl and Lori Schroeder Park on Saturday night.
 
Tanner Duke (2-1) tossed a complete game for Kansas State (15-4, 2-0 Big 12) to earn the win, allowing one unearned run on three hits. Sophomore Kendall Hoffman took the loss for Houston (11-7, 0-2 Big 12), ceding seven runs (six earned) on nine hits while striking out five in five innings.

GAME SUMMARY
After trading two scoreless innings, Kansas State broke the game open with two runs in the third. The Wildcats went on to score two in the fourth, three in the fifth, five in the sixth and four in the seventh to score its 16 runs. Houston got on the scoreboard as Cox scored on a single from freshman Peyton Dickens in the sixth, but it wasn’t enough to power a comeback, leading to a 16-1 victory for Kansas State.
