Hudson Weibel, All-American Intercollegiate preview graphicHUMBLE, Texas – The University of Houston Men’s Golf program will play host to a pair of events at its All-American Intercollegiate at Golf Club of Houston beginning Monday morning.
 
Teams will play on the 7,422-yard, par-72 Tournament Course while individuals will compete on the 7,508-yard, par-72 Member Course with 8 a.m., shotgun starts for each.
 
Admission is free, and all fans are invited to attend. Schools will play 36 holes Monday with the Final Round teeing off Tuesday morning.
 
A year ago, Houston captured the team championship with a score of 20-under 844 to finish nine strokes ahead of Troy. Troy’s Jake Springer claimed medalist honors with a score of 7-under 209 to finish a shot in front of Houston’s Chi Chun Chen.

Lineup, Team, All-American IntercollegiateABOUT the COUGARS
For the All-American Intercollegiate, the Cougars will be represented by senior Hudson Weibel, junior Grant Doggett, junior Chi Chun Chen, senior Kevin An and sophomore Hsuan-Yi Chen.
 
Junior Enrique Karg, senior Bryant Hiskey II, freshman Jayk Altic, freshman Jakub Janda, redshirt freshman Dominic Green, senior Ruben Lindsay and senior Nico Aulicino will compete at the All-American Intercollegiate Individual event.

This season, Weibel leads the Cougars with a 69.44 scoring average and has shot par or lower in all but two of the 18 rounds he has played. The Dallas native has already won the individual titles at the Border Olympics, Trinity

Forest Invitational and Argent Financial classic, becoming the first Cougar to win 3+ titles in a season since Roman Robledo during the 2013-14 campaign.

 

Chen stands second on the team with a 71.50 average and nine rounds of par or better, including five in the 60s. The Taiwan native fired a career-low 64 in the Final Round of the Argent Financial Classic (September 9, 2025).

 

Lineup, Individuals, All-American IntercollegiateHe was the first of three Cougars to shoot 64 or lower in a round this season joining Weibel (Final Round, Trinity Forest Invitational, October 7, 2025) and Hiskey (First Round, Houston Classic, February 9).

 

Green will make his collegiate debut after sitting out the 2024-25 season as a redshirt.

 

TEAM FIELD

For the All-American Intercollegiate, the Cougars will face Rice Abilene Christian, Arkansas, Eastern Michigan, HCU, Lamar, Nebraska, North Texas, Odessa College, Sam Houston, Tarleton State, Texas State, ULM, UT Arlington, UT Rio Grande Valley.

 

Student-athletes from LSU will join the other schools at the All-American Intercollegiate Individual event.

 

 

TEE TIMES

For Monday’s action, the Cougars will compete in groups with student-athletes from Arkansas, Rice and Nebraska

 

Doggett begins the day in the first group off No. 1 with Weibel (second group off No. 1), Chi Chun Chen (No. 2), An (No. 3) and Hsuan-Yi Chen (No. 4) following.

UP NEXT

Following the All-American Intercollegiate, Houston will play host to the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at Floridian National Golf Club on March 23-24. The event features one of the nation’s top collegiate fields every year.

 

From there, the Cougars tee off at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., on April 4-5.

 

Houston closes the regular season at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate at Finley Golf Club in Chapel Hill, N.C., on April 11-12.
