The postrace concert for IndyCar’s inaugural Java House Grand Prix of Arlington on Sunday was canceled because of weather concerns.
Officials cited “high winds and an abundance of caution for guests, artists, and staff.” Tens of thousands of fans attended Sunday’s race.
Grammy-winning rapper and producer T-Pain was scheduled to headline the postrace entertainment, part of the Good Ranchers Concert Series.
“Guests who purchased VIP concert upgrades for Sunday will be refunded and contacted directly with additional information regarding the refund process,” organizers said in a release.
The start time of Sunday’s race was moved up by an hour because of concerns about the wind. The race went off apparently without a hitch, with Kyle Kirkwood prevailing.
