The Vandals are dancing in March Madness for the first time since 1990, hoping to play spoilers in this year’s NCAA Tournament.

MOSCOW, Idaho — Get ready to dance, Vandals fans!

The Idaho Vandals will be the No. 15 seed and play No. 2 seed Houston in the first round of the men’s NCAA Tournament. The Vandals are in the South Region of this year’s bracket.

Tipoff is set for Thursday, March 19 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  A gametime and channel will be announced at a later time.

The Vandals are playing in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1990 after winning this year’s Big Sky Tournament.

Led by a 23-point performance from Isaiah Brickner, the Vandals beat the Montana Grizzlies 77-66 in Boise.

The Cougars were the national champion runners-up last season, beating the Gonzaga Bulldogs on their way to the national title game before losing to Florida.
