DECATUR – Jessie R. Beck went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 89. Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite A, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Funeral Service: 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. Jessie was born on February 10, 1937, to Sybil Priscilla Blackburn and CJ Beck in Bonifay, Florida. At the age of 17 he joined the Navy and then transferred to the Air Force and traveled. He was stationed in Oklahoma where he married his wife, Georgia. They were then stationed in Tennessee, Texas and California. He was also deployed to various locations overseas during times of conflict. He retired from the Air Force and later also retired from the City of Fort Worth where he worked in the Lights and Signal department. Jessie was a member of The Community Church of River Oaks where he served as a Deacon for many years. He and his wife attended Victory Church in Decatur. He loved watching old westerns. He also liked wrist watches and had collected several. Jessie is preceded in death by his parents, C.J. and Sybil Beck; his brother, Nathan; his sister, Francis; and his sister-in-law, Debbie. He is survived by his brothers, Donnie Beck and Ronnie Beck and his wife, Joy. He is also survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Georgia Beck; his daughter, Cindy Thomas, and her husband, Bryan; and his son, Alex Beck, and his wife, Caron. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christopher Kyle Thomas, Andrew Brenton Thomas, Braiden Skylar Beck, and Brody McGregor Beck and his wife, Emily, along with various nieces and nephews.
