In “All the Empty Rooms,” the short directed by Joshua Seftel and produced Conall Jones, journalist Steve Hartman and photographer Lou Bopp as document the empty bedrooms of children killed in school shootings over the course of seven years.

Gloria Cazares, whose child was killed in the Uvalde school shooting, accepted the award.

“My daughter, Jackie, was 9 years old when she was killed in Uvalde. Since that day, her bedroom has been frozen in time,” she said.

“Gun violence now the number one cause of death in kids and teens. We believe that if the world could see their empty bedrooms, we’d be a different America,” she added.
