The long drought is over for Texas Tech Lady Raider Basketball. After a 13-year absence from the Women’s NCAA Tournament, the Lady Raiders are back.
Lady Raiders Are Back in the Post Season Dance
It’s been 13-years since the Lady Raiders were in the NCAA Tournament and they got back here by being one of the best teams in the Big 12. The Lady Raiders went 25-7 on the season, 12-6 in Big 12 play. They finished tied for fourth in the conference. At the start of the season they were picked to finish 13.

Head Coach Krista Gerlich has done an amazing job with the team this year and was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year. The Lady Raiders have the most overall wins they have had since 2003-04, most Big 12 wins since 2004-05, and their highest conference finish since 2012-13.
Lady Raiders To Face Villanova Friday Evening
#7 Texas Tech Lady Raiders will face #10 Villanova on Friday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
This will be the first matchup between the Lady Raiders and Villanova.
