HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy is recovering from an overnight crash involving a suspected drunk driver.
According to the sheriff’s office, the crash happened on the feeder road of the North Beltway near Imperial Valley at 12:30 a.m. Monday.
The sheriff’s office said the deputy was in a marked unit and had the green light when the collision happened. The deputy is said to be in the hospital with minor injuries.
HCSO said the other driver was not hurt, but did show signs of intoxication and was taken into custody.
Deputies said the deputy and the other drivers were the only ones in the vehicles.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
