The Big 12 matchup on Saturday between the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Oklahoma State Cowboys feels like the unstoppable force meets the very movable object.

The home team is coming off the first loss of the season, but they can get back into the full swing of things in this game. Offensive coordinator Mack Leftwich stated that he called too many quarterback run plays against Arizona State, but he likely dials them up against Oklahoma State. The Cowboys’ defense is giving up 4.5 yards per attempt. Meanwhile, the Red Raiders are averaging 5.7 yards per attempt. This could be a game of ground and pound, much like they did against Kansas a couple of weeks ago.

For Oklahoma State, this is just about having anything positive to take away from the game. The Cowboys have a hard time scoring any points and haven’t been able to slow anyone down either. One shouldn’t expect a repeat of the game against Oregon, but it could be close to that level if the Red Raiders get rolling early. Freshman Rodney Fields Jr. might be their best weapon in this game, unless Sam Jackson V struggles to throw the ball, allowing Tech to load the box.

This game features two teams on opposite ends of the spectrum. Texas Tech has one of the top offenses and defenses in the country. Oklahoma State can’t score and can’t stop a nosebleed at this point. It will be like a hot knife through butter on Saturday afternoon. Tech is No. 1 in the Big 12 for scoring offense, while Oklahoma State is No. 16 in scoring defense. Oklahoma State is No. 16 in scoring offense, while Tech is No. 1 in scoring defense. This is going to be a bloodbath. My advice is to bet the over. Tech will probably hit that on its own.
