BRISTOL, VA – Joseph Edward Zint, age 90, of Bristol, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at his home. He was born on May 26, 1935, in Bristol, Tenn., a son of the late Henry Martin and Edna Pauline Riggs Zint. Joseph was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1954-1957, and served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1957-1962. He later moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where he made his home for many years, before returning to Bristol in 2019. Joseph enjoyed model trains, golfing, and building intricate 3D wood models. He attended Fellowship Chapel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Edwina Nadine Zint; sister, Gloria Yvonne Childress and husband, Jack; and brother, Billy Martin Zint. Survivors include his wife, Thelma “June” Mumpower Jenkins Zint; children, Joey Zint, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Ronnie Zint and wife, Micki, Vicki “Brat” Durbin and husband, Larry, Leanne Stribley and husband, Bob, Sandra Petty and husband, Grady, Larry Jenkins and wife, Linda, and Bobby Jenkins and friend, Sharon; mother of Ronnie and Vicki, Jeanette Lammons; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Brenda Zint; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The funeral service for Mr. Zint will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Price officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, in Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas.
