Aubrey police say the incident happened Saturday night on Frontier Parkway.
AUBREY, Texas — A man is dead after a single vehicle crash involving a golf cart Saturday night, according to the Aubrey Police Department.
Police say both officers, along with the Aubrey Fire Department, responded at 10 p.m. to the accident on Frontier Parkway.Â
Officials say police determined that a golf cart, which the man was driving, was headed westbound on the sidewalk on Frontier parkway and turned south on the sidewalk on McNatt Road. The driver reportedly almost hit a pedestrian during this turn.Â
Police say a pedestrian witness called 911 and later saw the golf car crash, and the driver being ejected from it.Â
The driver was found lying on the sidewalk with a head wound, officials say. Paramedics began life-saving measures on scene, but he died on his way to Medical Center Denton.
Officials say they believe alcohol may have played a factor in the crash.Â
The identity of the driver has not been released pending next of kin notification.Â
