One person died in a crash involving a pedestrian, causing the westbound lanes of Interstate 30 to shut down near Sylvan Avenue, officials said.
DALLAS — All westbound lanes of Interstate 30 are closed Tuesday morning after a pedestrian was hit and killed, officials said.
Deputies responded around 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, to the westbound lanes of I-30 at Sylvan Avenue, on the Margaret McDermott Bridge near downtown Dallas, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post.Â
All lanes were blocked as a result of a crash, but cars were able to navigate around the crash by using part of the on-ramp where I-30 connects to the bridge.Â
Around 5:25 a.m., traffic was backed up significantly as a result of the crash.Â
