Austin was buzzing all weekend as SXSW brought a parade of star power to town — and the red carpets delivered plenty of moments worth talking about.
One of the standout stops came with “Power Ballad,” where Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas were in Austin to promote the new film. Jonas also talked about his latest album and hit single, and shared that he “obviously needed very little vocal help” while preparing for his role. “Power Ballad” is set to release in theaters later this summer on June 5.
The celebrity run didn’t stop there. At the Paramount Theatre, the cast of the highly anticipated film “Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice” hit the red carpet. Jimmy Tatro talked about his role, including how he likes to get “super into character,” and the slicked-back hair was part of the vibe. But the person drawing the biggest crowd Saturday night was Vince Vaughn, who was being pulled in every direction for interviews.
“Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice” streams on Hulu and Disney Plus next Friday, the 27th.
Another major SXSW moment came Friday with the premiere of “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.” Sarah Michelle Gellar shared what she loved about the script and what made her want to be part of the film. Fans won’t have to wait long: “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” releases in theaters this Friday.
