The unusual chill isn’t over quite yet for Dallas-Fort Worth, with freezing temperatures possible Tuesday morning.

A freeze warning, which alerts residents to freezing temperatures outside of the usual season, will be in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Tuesday. DFW International Airport is only forecast to see a low of 33 degrees, but communities across North and Central Texas are expected to hit freezing. The National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office recommends covering or bringing sensitive plants indoors and bundling up for the morning commute.

At 65 degrees, the high Tuesday should still be a few degrees below normal, but significantly warmer than Monday. Wind gusts up to 26 miles per hour are also possible.

The rest of the week is expected to see warmer temperatures, with highs in the 70s on Wednesday and the 80s on Thursday. No rain is forecast over the next seven days.
