Corpus Christi Water (CCW) officials said on Tuesday they have begun test pumping four wells at the City’s Western Well Field, a key step toward preparing the site for full operation.

The testing phase is designed to verify that each well is functioning as expected, officials said, and marks an important milestone in the development of the City’s water infrastructure.

“Testing these wells is another step forward for the Western Well Field project,” said CCW Chief Operating Officer Nick Winkelmann. “This process allows us to verify the wells are performing as expected.”
