A food production facility and Plano ISD renovations are two of many new projects filed recently with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Here are five of the most expensive permits filed with TDLR in the past week.

1. Tetra Pak Product Development Center

A 15,344-square-foot processing facility, warehouse and offices will be constructed in Denton according to a TDLR filing. Tetra Pak provides advanced food production systems in collaboration with customers and suppliers, according to its website. The facility will take a little over half a year to complete.

Renovations at Plano ISD’s Shepard Elementary School include classrooms, upgraded electrical panels, heating, ventilation and air conditioning controls, sprinklers, fire alarm replacements, and bathroom renovations, according to a TDLR filing. The construction at the school was approved by voters during its 2022 bond. A full list of approved proposals from the bond for the elementary school is available online. The total bond package is worth $1.4 billion, per previous reporting. Construction is estimated to last through the summer.

A new convenience store location for Murphy USA will be under construction in Frisco, according to a TDLR filing. The store will offer gas sales and snacks at the northeast corner of FM 423 and Panther Creek Parkway. Construction is estimated to take less than a year.

Renovations at suites 1400 and 1550 at Granite Park 6 will be for a new space for Aven Hospitality, a technology provider for the hotel industry, according to a TDLR filing. Granite Park 6 offers office space in Plano. Construction is estimated to last roughly five months.
