GEORGETOWN, Texas — Crews extinguished a house fire in Georgetown Tuesday afternoon that was caused by a gas explosion, according to the fire department.

The Georgetown Fire Department was dispatched around 12:28 p.m. to the Heritage Oaks neighborhood, where the fire had spread into the attic of the residence.
