Clemson running back to visit Texans

HOUSTON – Clemson running back Adam Randall is visiting the Texans before the NFL draft in April, per a league source.

A converted wide receiver, Randall has prototypical size and speed at 6-foot-3, 232 pounds with 4.50 speed in the 40-yard dash and has a 37-inch vertical leap.

He had a 10-4 broad jump and bench pressed 225 pounds 26 times.

He has overcome a torn anterior cruciate ligament when he initially enrolled at Clemson during spring football.

He caught three passes for 44 yards in the Orange Bowl in his first start as a wide receiver.

He was later switched to running back and returned a kickoff 41 yards in the ACC championship.

He finished his career with 858 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns and 84 catches for 787 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

A Myrtle Beach native, was a finalist for Mr. Football as a senior.
