A specific and official dress code is coming to town. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has officially updated its dress code following a surge of guest complaints over inappropriate and revealing attire.

Rodeo officials have said the move is necessary in order to preserve the “family-friendly” atmosphere of the event.

The change comes after discourse kicked off online over what people were wearing to the rodeo, and is being implemented effective immediately, with the Rodeo now in its final week.

President and CEO of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo said, as per Fox News: “This is a family-friendly event. It’s been that way for 94 years. We have received the most complaints or comments or questions about dress code this year. We just felt like it was time… to make a public statement about what our expectations are.”

This is a developing story. More to follow.
