Established in 2017, Ballet North Texas is located in Dallas and headed by Founder and Artistic Director, Nicolina Lawson. The young company presents original productions on a seasonal basis pursuant to its “vision to push the boundaries of artistic excellence and innovation.” Up next, Ballet North Texas will bring its family-friendly “Cinderella” to the stage from April 10-11, 2026, at Moody Performance Hall in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.
With countless variations dating back centuries, “Cinderella” is one of the most well-known and oft-told fairy tales in history. Set to Sergei Prokofiev’s classic score, Ballet North Texas’s production will highlight Lawson’s choreography and costume design, as well as set design by Alan Michaels and lighting design by Lisa Miller. Audiences are promised “enchanted pumpkins and a ballroom waltz under the stars,” within a version of the tale in which “kindness reigns and dreams come true.”
Performances will take place on Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, at 8 p.m., with an additional sensory-friendly matinee at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 11. Ticket prices range from $27 – $81. Following “Cinderella,” Ballet North Texas will conclude its current season with “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in June. For more information visit balletnorthtexas.org.
