A 19-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly displaying a handgun during a road rage encounter along I-20, police say.

ARLINGTON, Texas — A 19-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after another driver alleged the man displayed a handgun during a road rage incident, Arlington police said.

The alleged victim called officers around 6:25 p.m. to the 4000 block of Great Southwest Parkway, the Arlington Police Department said in a press release. The 23-year-old man told police he was driving eastbound on I-20 between Green Oaks Boulevard and Bowen Road when a pickup truck cut him off, prompting him to honk his horn.

The driver of the pickup then changed lanes, pulled alongside him and displayed a handgun before continuing eastbound, he told police. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported, the release states.

Officers later pulled the pickup truck driver over near I-20 and Highway 360, police said.

The driver was identified as 19-year-old Diego Ashford, according to the press release. Police said multiple firearms were found inside the vehicle. Ashford was arrested and booked into the Arlington City Jail on one count of disorderly conduct and one count of unlawful carrying of a weapon.
