Attention people of Horizon, the far east El Paso community is going to see a TON of law enforcement soon but don’t panic. Everything’s cool, they’re just doing cop stuff.

If you live or frequent Horizon, on the far, far eastern edge of El Paso; don’t be surprised if you soon see a s**load of cops … all different agencies … piling up. It’s a planned, multi agency operation and nothing to freak out about.

Unless you’re speeding or have expired plates or something. I’m pretty sure, knowing them that … whatever they’re doing … they’ll still be watching for violations.

The Horizon City Police Department has announced that the department, along (with the) Socorro Police Department, Anthony Police Department, Socorro ISD PD, FBI El Paso Office, and DEA El Paso Office, will be conducting large-scale operations. – KVIA

Folks around Darrington and Rudi Kuefner, the 100 block of Kenazo and Darrington Road @ Eastlake will be in the thick of things. Coincidentally, those are also areas where you can expect no Dubba G sightings for the foreseeable future.

Officials say that residents can expect a significant law enforcement presence in these areas. Officials also say that these are controlled operations, and there is no threat to the public as a result of these operations. – KVIA

Unless you count threats to the peace of mind of those who have expired tags, faulty equipment, no license, expired/revoked licenses, etc. No offense Horizon, I’m not singling you out. Those are pretty … ok, VERY … common all over the Borderland.

KVIA says there is, (for now), no set start or end time for “Cop – apooloza”. Heads up, folks.
