AUSTIN, Texas — Police are responding to reports of shots fired at the Austin Central Library in downtown.

APD says that they heard reports of shots fired from one of the upper floors of the library, located at West Avenue and Cesar Chavez Street.

Police say a victim with gunshot wounds was taken to the hospital, and that the suspect is still at-large.

Multiple officers are clearing the scene, and police say there are no other reports of casualties or shots fired since officers got to the library.

Police ask that the public avoid the area.
