SAN ANTONIO – The driver of a Mercedes-Benz has been arrested for DWI after losing control during heavy storms on US Highway 90.
Just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, police were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on US Highway 90, near Leon Creek on the West Side.
According to investigators, the driver was traveling westbound in the main lanes of the highway when they lost control of the vehicle and side-swiped the guardrails.
A passenger, identified as a 19-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with severe injuries as a result of the crash.
The driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash and was taken into custody.
