“Well, I love to say that I’m the owner, operator, and dishwasher. I do it all, “said Michele, “When you come through our store, you’ll probably see me in the drive-thru! I usually work in the drive-thru at all times whenever I am on shift. I am heavily involved with the PTA in our community, with the city of Georgetown, and even the police department. I try to be everywhere all at once. I absolutely love our city.”
And Michele ought to know. She has called the Georgetown community home for her entire life, and her career growth is quite the story.
“Georgetown is amazing. I grew up there. Schlotzsky’s was my first job when I was 16. I was at this location, and ten years after that, I purchased it from the previous owner. And so I’ve been there since. I’ve never left my first job.”
Now Michele does her best to make sure others have access to that same opportunity.
“That’s what makes it so important to me to be an important part of my staff’s well-being. I want to be a stepping stone to something greater in their life, and I always tell them that we’re going to be in it together. And I will help you succeed. I will help with any resources I have to help you get to your goal.”
