EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A new live music event in El Paso is expected to turn up the volume for emerging talent this weekend.

“Sound Check,” a recently announced event, is giving local DJs a rare opportunity, the chance to perform on one of the city’s largest stages with full professional production—without the high-pressure stakes of opening for a major national act.

Local artists will take the stage on Saturday, March 21, at 9 p.m. at the venue 11:11 EPTX, located at 9740 Dyer Street.

According to organizers, the event will allow local artists to create a space where they can refine their sound in a real concert environment while building confidence and exposure.

The series is designed to simulate a large-scale live show, complete with professional lighting, sound engineering, and stage design.

Participants will be able to test mixes, experiment with crowd engagement, and gain hands-on experience.

In a music scene where breaking through can be difficult, “Sound Check” aims to bridge the gap—giving rising DJs both the platform and the practice they need to take the next leap.
