The countdown to the FIFA World Cup is on and already heating up. Now, if you needed another reminder that it’s getting real, this might be it.
The U.S. just dropped its official World Cup kits, which are awesome by the way, and El Paso fans are doing a double take after spotting a very familiar face.
USMNT Reveals World Cup Kits Ahead of 2026
The United States Soccer Federation revealed the jerseys the United States men’s national soccer team will wear at the upcoming World Cup, co-hosted by the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
The home kit features a red, white, and blue design inspired by the American flag, while the away kit flips the look with a bold black jersey covered in stars.
Players were also part of the design process, adding a more personal touch ahead of one of the biggest tournaments in the world.

A Familiar Face From El Paso Pops Up in the Reveal
As fans reacted to the new kits, one moment quickly stood out. A former El Paso Locomotive FC player appeared modeling the jersey- and it didn’t take long for the internet to catch on.
In a now viral Instagram post of his own, Diego Luna is seen dealing cards while wearing the kit, captioned: “They never plan for the wild card. Espera lo inesperado.”

And just like that, the Borderland had its moment.
From El Paso Locomotive to the National Spotlight
Before the national buzz, Luna was making his mark with the Locos.
