American Legion Post No. 533 in Bastrop was tapped to host the 2026 American Legion Riders Texas State Rally—an event that will be held May 1-3.
The American Legion Riders is a motorcycle-based program within the American Legion made up of military veterans, active-duty service members and sometimes family members who share a passion for riding and supporting veterans.

The 2026 American Legion Riders Texas State Rally is expected to draw hundreds of riders from across the state for a weekend defined by the steady rumble of engines.
Registration, priced at $55, is available online.
As of March 16, there were 248 registered riders, and Patricia Pierce, the director of the American Legion Riders at Post No. 533, expects that figure to only grow.
“We will be having approximately 400-500 veterans and veteran supporters convene in Bastrop in the first week of May,” she told Community Impact.
