EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Some Central El Paso residents may experience reduced water pressure overnight while crews conduct planned waterline work as part of an ongoing replacement project.

El Paso Water said crews will perform planned operations on Friday, which may result in lower water pressure for approximately 600 Central El Paso customers from about midnight to 4 a.m.

Water service is not expected to be completely shut off, but residents are urged to plan accordingly.

EPWater reiterated that wastewater services will not be affected.

The work is part of the Waterline Replacement Project – Phase 12B, which has replaced aging waterlines in several parts of Central El Paso.

As a precaution, EPWater will provide two water tankers for affected residents from 11 p.m. until the scheduled work is complete and water pressure returns to normal.

The tankers will be located at Memphis Avenue and Byron Street, near Austin High School, and at Memphis Avenue and Lackland Street, close to Dyer Street.
