HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Police Department said that they are looking for a woman charged with capital murder in a 2022 home invasion and double homicide that happened in east Houston.
According to authorities, 21-year-old Elizabeth Rodriguez is wanted for her alleged role in the deadly shooting of Juan Ramirez, 41, and Apolonio Alvarado, 37.

Victorya Ruby Venegas, 22; Jozalyn Lawrence, 24; Jacob Lee St John, 24; Raul Gallegos, 23, and Damien Vega, 22,have also been charged with capital murder in the incident, HPD said. The agency added that Venegas and Gallegos are sitting in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on unrelated charges, while Vega is in federal custody on unrelated charges.
Although the department stated that St John and Lawrence were arrested and charged for this incident in December 2025 and March 2026, their current whereabouts are unclear.
HPD said that on Jan. 21, 2022, officers responded to a report of a home invasion at 7132 Avenue Q at about 3:10 a.m. At the time, ABC13 spoke with HPD Det. Stark, who said, “Between four and five suspects entered the house. They immediately got into a struggle with the residents of the house. Shots were fired. The suspects then ran off on foot.”

Alvarado was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Ramirez was also hospitalized in critical condition and later died from his injuries on June 1, 2023, police said. A third man, who authorities said was assaulted, was treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.
Subsequent investigations revealed the identities of the suspects and led to five out of six arrests, according to HPD.
